    Shale gas is one of the most promising energy resources now days in the world. In this lecture, production technology of shale gas using horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing technologies is introduced as an energy development technology and the important rock mechanics research topics for hydraulic fracturing technology are proposed. New technology of LNG underground storage developed is also introduced with the related rock mechanics research.
