Li Ming, born in 1980, holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and is an Associate Professor. He graduated from Northeastern University in 2003 with a degree in Civil Engineering. In 2006, he received a Master of Engineering degree in Structural Engineering from Northeastern University. In 2009, he earned a Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from the same university, focusing on research into evaluation methods for the static and dynamic safety and stability of tailings ponds. In 2008, he began teaching at the university. From 2012 to 2013, he was a visiting scholar at McMaster University in Canada, and from 2013 to 2015, he pursued postdoctoral research at McMaster University, studying mechanical models and numerical computation methods for hydraulic fracturing. Since beginning his career, he has led and participated in multiple international cooperation projects, national and provincial-level projects, as well as industry collaboration projects. He has published over 40 academic papers and authored or edited 4 books and textbooks.
