Xiaogang Sun, Associate Professor and Master's Supervisor, Department of Mining Engineering, Northeastern University. His research mainly focuses on backfill mining and the comprehensive utilization of mineral resources. He has led and participated in eight national-level projects, including the 12th, 13th, and 14th Five-Year Plan National Key Research and Development Programs, National Natural Science Foundation of China general projects, and major science and technology projects of Liaoning Province. He has also participated in over 30 enterprise projects. He has led the compilation of four industry standards, won three provincial and ministerial-level awards including the Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and the Metallurgical Science and Technology Award of the China Iron and Steel Association, obtained eight national invention patents, and published over 30 academic papers (including more than ten SCI-indexed papers), and authored three academic monographs and textbooks.
