Wenqiang Mu, Associate Professor, is mainly engaged in research on mine rock mass seepage, water inrush, and grouting prevention and control. He has presided over more than ten research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program. He has published over 60 academic papers in major domestic and international journals, been granted more than 20 national invention patents, and achieved two technology transformations. He has received the First and Second Prizes for Science and Technology Progress in Fujian and Liaoning Provinces, the Second Prize for Science and Technology Progress from the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering, the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Innovation from the China Industry–University–Research Institute Promotion Association, and six other industry science and technology awards, as well as the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award of Northeastern University. He serves as a member of branch committees of the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering and the Nonferrous Metals Society of China, an editorial board member of SR Journal, a youth editorial board member of DUSE and JCSU, and a reviewer for over 30 journals including IJRMMS.
