
Hangxing Ding, Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor. His research mainly focuses on mining methods for complex and difficult-to-mine ore bodies as well as caving control mechanisms. He has presided over a sub-project of the National Major Science and Technology Project for Deep Earth Research and a National Natural Science Foundation of China project on ore drawing and rock mass caving in the induced caving mining method. He has also presided over three provincial and ministerial-level projects and participated as a core member in one National Key R&D Program project and one NSFC Key Project, and has undertaken more than 20 enterprise-commissioned research projects for China National Gold Group, Ansteel Group, Zhaojin Mining, and other enterprises. He has received ten First Prizes of Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress Awards and solved major technical mining problems for more than 20 mines. The project Textbook Development of Mining Science won the Second Prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award. He has published over 50 academic papers and applied for more than ten national invention patents.
