Yuanyong Jiang, Associate Professor, Department of Mining Engineering, School of Resources and Civil Engineering, Northeastern University. In terms of engineering practice, he mainly engages in research on underground mining technology for metal ore deposits, with a focus on safe and efficient mining technologies for complex and difficult-to-mine ore bodies, as well as mine ventilation and safety technologies. In terms of fundamental theory, he primarily conducts research in seepage mechanics, dedicated to the study of physicochemical fluid dynamics problems in porous media. He served as chief editor of the textbook Mine Ventilation, Cooling and Dust Removal and co-authored two technical standards on ventilation and cooling in deep metal mines. He has received one First Prize of China Gold Association Science and Technology Award and one First Prize of Metallurgical Science and Technology Award of the China Iron and Steel Association. He serves as an Expert for Non-Coal Mines at the Shenyang Municipal Emergency Management Bureau and the Liaoning Provincial Mine Safety Bureau, and has delivered professional training and lectures more than 50 times for major enterprises including Lu'an Group, Ansteel Group, Taiyuan Iron & Steel Group, Shandong Gold Group, China Gold Group, and Zhaojin Group.
