Chenhui Wei, Associate Professor. In 2010, he was selected for the first Academic Newcomer Award for Doctoral Students by the Ministry of Education. He received his Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from Northeastern University in October 2012. He has been awarded the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of Northeastern University, the Endeavour Scholarship from the Australian Government (2015), the Second Prize of the Liaoning Natural Science Award (2018), and the Excellent Instructor Award for Northeastern University Undergraduate Graduation Projects (2022, 2024). Dr. Wei's research focuses on the fundamental theory and numerical simulation of multi-physics field coupling processes in rock mechanics. He has led one project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), four projects supported by the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities, and one project funded by the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. He has obtained 5 computer software copyright registrations and 16 invention patents, and has published more than 60 academic papers in journals and conferences, including 26 indexed by SCI.
