
Kai Guan, Associate Professor and DoctoralSupervisor. His research addresses the national demand for safe strategic mineral resource development, with a focus on disaster mechanisms and early warning control in deep, high-stress, soft, and fractured rock masses. He has led four research projects, including two funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He has been recognized as a Young Top Talent of Liaoning Province and a Leading Talent of Shenyang, and received the Green Mine Youth Science and Technology Award. He has published over 70 papers in leading journals such as IJRMMS and RMRE, with more than 20 as first or corresponding author indexed by SCI/EI. He holds over 40 national invention patents and 4 software copyrights, has successfully commercialized 4 technologies, and has contributed to one group standard and two academic monographs. He has received nine provincial and ministerial-level science and technology awards, including a Second Prize for Science and Technology Progress from Inner Mongolia as one of the top-three contributors. He serves as Deputy Secretary-General of the Rock Fragmentation Engineering Committee and as a director or member of other committees within the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering.
