
Leilei Niu, Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisorof Department of Mining Engineering, Northeastern University. He is a Leading Talent of Shenyang, an expert of the Shenyang Emergency Management Bureau, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Rock Fragmentation Engineering Committee of the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering. His research focuses on rock dynamics, mine blasting, and the monitoring and early warning of dynamic mining hazards. He has published over 40 technical papers in conferences and journals, including Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering and International Journal of Rock Mechanics and Mining Sciences. He has served as chief investigator for two research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and participated in six national-level projects. He has also received seven provincial and ministerial-level second-class or higher awards and has been granted 30 invention patents.
