Jun Xing, Professorof Northeastern University. He graduated from Northeastern University with a master's degree in Mining Engineering in 1993 and obtained his doctorate in 2000. From September 2002 to August 2003, he was a visiting scholar at Kansai University, Japan, under a government-sponsored program. His main research areas include the comprehensive utilization of mineral resources and the control of rock mass fracture and instability. He is a member of the Rock Fragmentation Engineering Committee of the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering and a director of the Liaoning Blasting Society.
