
I am Dr. Dai Jun, a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, and a core member of the Institute of Structural Vibration Control and Intelligent Disaster Prevention at Northeastern University. My research lies primarily in structural vibration control and intelligent disaster prevention for civil infrastructure, with current interests including ultra-low-frequency tuned vibration control, intelligent and active vibration control, multi-hazard mitigation, and multi-dimensional broadband seismic isolation. I have served as Principal Investigator for projects funded by the National Key Research and Development Program of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. My honors include the First Prize for Technological Invention from the Ministry of Education, a Gold Medal at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Innovation from the China Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology, and the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award from Southeast University. I have published 51 SCI-indexed papers in leading journals in my field, including those of ASCE, ASME, MSSP, and ES, and hold 13 authorized national invention patents. My research outcomes have been successfully applied to TMD vortex-induced vibration control of non-navigable span bridges on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, low-frequency vibration suppression of aircraft model sting supports in transonic wind tunnels, and TMD wind-induced vibration control of the Nantong 77-type transmission tower. I currently serve on the editorial boards of Sound and Vibration as an Editorial Board Member, and as a Youth Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Dynamic Disasters and the Journal of Energy Infrastructures, Safety and Emergency.
