Guolian Zhang, born in 1966, received his Ph.D. degree and is currently a Professor and Master's Supervisor. His research interests include composite foundation technology, underground engineering stability, and construction informatization. He has served as the principal investigator of subprojects under China's National Key Technology Research and Development Programs during the Tenth and Eleventh Five-Year Plans, as well as projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has also participated in several national-level research programs, including the National High Technology Research and Development Program (863 Program) and other NSFC-funded projects. In addition, he has led or participated in more than ten industry-sponsored research and engineering projects. He has received numerous awards, including the First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award from the China Mining Association, the Second Prize of the Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, and the Second Prize of the State Science and Technology Award nominated by the Ministry of Education. He has published more than 30 academic papers, authored one monograph, edited one textbook as chief editor, and contributed to another academic publication as co-author.
