
Dr. WANG Shu-hong, male, the long-term Professor in the School of Resources and Civil Engineering, Northeastern University. He is also a part-time member of the China National Group of the ISRM, a council member of the Chinese Society of Civil Engineering and the Chinese Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering, an expert in urban infrastructure consulting for international institutions such as the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank, and a program evaluation expert for the Liaoning Provincial Department of Land and Resources. He is a recipient of the Baosteel Excellent Teacher Award. His main research directions include: non-continuous rock mechanics and engineering disasters, underground space and tunnel engineering, municipal infrastructure, intelligent technology for underground engineering, forming a relatively stable research direction in non-continuous rock characterization and structural plane identification, engineering disturbance damage and intelligent prediction and forecasting of disasters. Hosted and completed more than 30 vertical scientific research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China Regional Key Project (1), General Project (4), Liaoning Provincial Key R&D Program (1), International Cooperation Research Fund (3), International Cooperation Exchange Project (5), Provincial and Ministerial Programs and Funds (3), and participated in more than 10 national "973 Program", "863 Program", and national funds; Published 2 monographs, published over 100 academic papers in journals, authorized over 30 domestic invention patents, and 6 international PCT overseas authorizations. Received 8 awards including National Science and Technology Progress Second Prize, National Teaching Achievement Second Prize, Provincial Teaching Achievement Special Prize, Provincial Technology Invention Second Prize, Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress Second Prize, and Provincial and Ministerial Natural Science Second Prize.
