Cheng Hao was born in October 1988 in Xinmin, Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China. He holds a Ph.D. in Geo-detection and Information Technology and is currently a Lecturer in the School of Resources and Civil Engineering at Northeastern University.
Dr. Cheng received his B.Sc. degree in Exploration Technology and Engineering in 2011 and his Ph.D. degree in Geo-detection and Information Technology in 2016, both from the College of Geo-Exploration Science and Technology, Jilin University.
His research interests include applied geophysics, seismic data processing, and passive-source seismic imaging. He has served as Principal Investigator or key participant in research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities, and several industry-sponsored collaborative programs. His research results have been published in more than 10 SCI- and EI-indexed papers in leading journals, including Chinese Journal of Geophysics, Exploration Geophysics, and Acta Petrolei Sinica, as well as in international conference proceedings.
