
Liu Bo received his Ph.D. in Structural Geology from Peking University and is currently a Level II Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Northeastern University. He was a Visiting Scholar at Stockholm University, Sweden.
Professor Liu is a member of The Geological Society, the European Geosciences Union (EGU), the Geological Society of China, and the Chinese Society for Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry. He also serves as Deputy Secretary-General of the Youth Working Committee of the Geological Society of Liaoning Province and Deputy Secretary-General of the Shenyang Chapter of the Peking University Alumni Association.
His research focuses on structural geology and tectonic evolution. To date, he has led 15 research projects, including grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Young Scientists Fund) and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. He has published more than 50 academic papers, including 17 SCI-indexed articles as first or corresponding author.
Professor Liu is the founder of the Rocking Tectonics research group, which is dedicated to advancing research and academic exchange in structural geology and tectonics.
