Yao Yuzeng, born in August 1972, is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor in the Department of Geology, School of Resources and Civil Engineering, Northeastern University. He also serves as a member of the Mining Planning and Exploration Planning Expert Committee of the Department of Natural Resources of Liaoning Province.
His research focuses on the metallogeny of critical metal deposits and high-grade iron ore deposits, mineralization targeting and exploration of precious and non-ferrous metal resources, and the application of hyperspectral remote sensing technologies in mineral exploration. His work integrates geological, geochemical, and remote sensing approaches to advance mineral resource assessment and exploration.
