Jianwen Yu is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor. He was selected as a Class-C High-level Leading Talent of Shenyang. He serves as Director of the Shenyang Technology Innovation Center for Efficient Utilization of Deep-Sea Mineral Resources, Part-time Chief Technology Officer at China National Gold Group Zhongyuan Mining Co., Ltd., Director of the Liaoning Society of Engineering Thermochemistry, and Editorial Board Member of Gold.
His research and teaching focus on process intensification and separation of strategic mineral resources, as well as the theory and technology of selective comminution. He teaches undergraduate courses including Wisdom of Mineral Processing in Ancient Classics and Surface and Colloid Chemistry, and postgraduate courses including Thesis Writing Guidance (Mineral Processing Engineering) and Advanced Mineral Processing Engineering.
Professor Yu has led more than 20 research projects, including a Major Program Cultivation Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, special tasks under national major science and technology projects, sub-projects under the National Key R&D Program of China, and enterprise-sponsored projects commissioned by Ansteel, Benxi Iron & Steel, and other enterprises. As first or corresponding author, he has published more than 50 papers in authoritative journals, including International Journal of Mineral Processing and Minerals Engineering. He has been granted more than ten invention patents, and one patented achievement has been industrialized.
He is chief editor of Boromagnesite Ore Dressing Technology, supported by the National Publication Fund, and co-editor of the 14th Five-Year higher education textbook Grinding Principles (2nd edition) and the industrial report Roadmap of Mineral Processing Engineering Discipline.
