Jiwei Lu is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor with a Ph.D. degree. Since joining Northeastern University in September 2016, he has been engaged in research on sulfide ore beneficiation and magnetic separation theory and technology, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.


Professor Lu teaches courses including Scientific Paper Writing, Magnetic and High-tension Separation, and Non-metallic Mineral Processing Technology. He has also compiled the undergraduate textbook Magnetic and High-tension Separation.

He has led more than ten research projects, including projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities, the General Program of the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and open funds from the Shaanxi Key Laboratory of Comprehensive Utilization of Tailings Resources. He has also undertaken several enterprise-sponsored collaborative projects. As a core participant, he has contributed to more than 20 National Natural Science Foundation of China and industry-sponsored projects.


Professor Lu has published more than 20 papers as first or corresponding author, including over ten SCI/EI-indexed papers. He has filed five Chinese invention patents, three of which have been granted. His achievements have been recognized with the Science and Technology Progress Award of the China Metallurgical and Mining Association and Liaoning Provincial Teaching Achievement Awards.
