Qingyou Meng is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Northeastern University. He received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Mineral Processing Engineering from Central South University, and completed his doctoral studies in January 2016. He joined Northeastern University as a faculty member in March 2016.
His research focuses on separation theory and technology of complex metallic ores, as well as fine grinding equipment and related technologies. He has accumulated extensive research experience in the beneficiation of tungsten ores, vanadium–titanium magnetite, iron ores, and polymetallic sulfide ores, including molybdenum, copper, lead, zinc, and sulfur-bearing ores.
Over the past five years, Professor Meng has led or participated in more than 40 research projects. As principal investigator, he has led one project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, two projects supported by the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities, one sub-project under the 14th Five-Year National Key R&D Program, and more than ten technical service projects for mining enterprises. He has published more than 40 academic papers in domestic and international journals, including over 30 SCI-indexed papers as first or corresponding author.
