Shuling Gao is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Northeastern University. She is a recipient of the 9th Liaoning Provincial Talent Support Program and serves as a young-and-middle-aged Editorial Board Member of Nonferrous Metals (Mineral Processing Section), Nonferrous Metal Engineering, and Conservation and Utilization of Mineral Resources.


She received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mineral Processing Engineering from China University of Mining and Technology in 2002 and 2005, respectively, and her Ph.D. degree in Mining Engineering from Northeastern University in 2009.


Professor Gao teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses including Mineral Processing Plant Design, Engineering Fluid Mechanics, and Mineral Processing Analysis and Testing. Her research focuses on intensified separation of fine particles via composite force-field fluids and process control, as well as green separation technologies for complex mineral resources.
