Jianping Jin

Jianping Jin is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Resources and Civil Engineering, Northeastern University. Born in Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia, he has nearly two decades of research experience in mineral processing. 


He received his B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in Mineral Processing Engineering from Northeastern University in 2007 and 2009, respectively, and obtained his Ph.D. degree in Mineral Resource Utilization and Environmental Control from the same university in 2019.


His research focuses on the efficient development and utilization of refractory gold ores, vanadium-bearing stone coal, and refractory iron ores, as well as flotation processes and industrial applications of metal sulfide ores. By integrating laboratory innovation with industrial practice, his work addresses key technical challenges in the processing of complex mineral resources.


Professor Jin holds several academic appointments. He serves as Deputy Secretary-General of the Screening Technology Committee of the China Metallurgical Mining Enterprise Association, Member of the Vanadium Resources Clean Utilization Professional Committee of The Nonferrous Metals Society of China, and Core Member of the Iron Ore Resource Green Development and Utilization Team of the 2011 Steel Technology Collaborative Innovation Center.
