
Jin Yao is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor with a doctoral degree. He has been recognized as a Leading Talent of Shenyang City. He serves as a Member of the Science and Technology Committee of the China Magnesite Industry Association and a Youth Director of the Chinese Ceramic Society. He is also an Editorial Board Member of China Powder Science and Technology and Green and Smart Mining Engineering, and a Youth Editorial Board Member of Gold Science and Technology, Conservation and Utilization of Mineral Resources, and Nonferrous Metals (Mineral Processing Section).
His research focuses on flotation theory and technology of complex refractory ores, resource utilization of mineral processing solid wastes, and preparation of mineral powder materials. He has led more than ten national and provincial research projects, including sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program, General and Youth Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and several enterprise-sponsored collaborative projects.
Professor Yao has published more than 200 high-level academic papers in domestic and international journals, including over 100 SCI-indexed papers, more than 60 JCR Q1 papers, six ESI Highly Cited Papers, and one ESI Hot Paper. His publications have received over 3,000 citations, with an H-index of 35. He has been listed in Stanford University’s World’s Top 2% Scientists Ranking and has obtained more than 20 authorized national invention patents.
He has served as chief editor of two monographs, contributed to two additional monographs, edited one undergraduate textbook and one postgraduate textbook, and developed two first-class courses in Liaoning Province. His teaching achievements include the First Prize of Liaoning Provincial Teaching Achievement Award and the Second Prize of Liaoning Provincial Postgraduate Teaching Achievement Award.
