Shuai Yuan is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Northeastern University. He has received several national and provincial talent honors, including the National Young Talents Program, the Young Scientist Project of the National Key R&D Program of China, the Young Talent Promotion Project of the China Association for Science and Technology, National Excellent Innovative and Entrepreneurial Postdoctoral Fellow, and Young Top-notch Talent of the Liaoning Revitalization Talents Program. He has also been listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists.
His research focuses on the efficient utilization of strategic minerals, circular recovery of new energy minerals, and green development of deep-sea mineral resources. He has led more than 30 national, provincial, and enterprise-sponsored research projects, including a Young Scientist Project under the National Key R&D Program of China and multiple projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
Professor Yuan has published more than 80 academic papers as first or corresponding author, including over 60 SCI-indexed papers. He has also been granted more than 70 authorized international and national invention patents. His achievements have been recognized with the First Prize of the Ministry of Education Technical Invention Award, the First Prize of Liaoning Provincial Technical Invention Award, the Second Prize of Liaoning Provincial Natural Science Award, and the First Prize of Liaoning Provincial Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award.
