Wengang Liu is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Northeastern University. He is a recipient of the National Young Talents Program and serves as Vice Dean of the Liaoning Provincial Solid Waste Industrial Technology Innovation Institute.
His research focuses on high-efficiency flotation reagents and the resource utilization of mine solid wastes. He has proposed a computer simulation-based design method for highly selective collectors and clarified the effects of substituents on the flotation performance of cationic collectors. He has also developed a series of high-efficiency flotation reagents, several of which have been successfully commercialized and applied in industrial mineral processing.
Professor Liu has led more than 30 provincial and ministerial research projects, published over 280 academic papers, authored five textbooks and monographs, and obtained 19 authorized invention patents. His achievements have been recognized with seven provincial science and technology awards.
