Wanzhong Yin is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Northeastern University. He has been recognized as a New Century Excellent Talent by the Ministry of Education, selected for the Hundred-level Talents Program of the Liaoning Baiqianwan Talents Project, and appointed as a Minjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor.
His teaching and research focus on mineral flotation theory and technology, efficient separation of complex polymetallic ores, and functional mineral materials. He has been listed among Stanford University and Elsevier’s World’s Top 2% Scientists for both career-long impact and single-year scientific impact and has also been selected as a CNKI Highly Cited Chinese Researcher.
Professor Yin has served as editor-in-chief of 18 monographs, translated one academic book, and co-edited 12 monographs. He has published more than 700 academic papers in domestic and international journals, including over 300 SCI-indexed papers and ten ESI Highly Cited Papers. He has been granted three international invention patents and 30 national invention patents.
His research achievements have been recognized with one Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, seven First Prizes and five Second Prizes of provincial and ministerial-level Science and Technology Progress Awards. He has led or participated in six projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one National 863 Program project, and one project under the 12th Five-Year National Key Technologies R&D Program, as well as several provincial, ministerial, and enterprise-sponsored research projects.
