
YanbaiShen received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Toyama, Japan, in 2009. He subsequently worked as a researcher at Nagoya University, Japan, until 2012. He is currently a Distinguished Professor supported by the National Major Talent Program, a recipient of the National Science Fund for Outstanding Young Scholars, and a Liaoning Revitalization Talent.
His research focuses on the efficient monitoring and hazard prevention of pollutants in mining and mineral processing. With an emphasis on production safety and environmental protection, his work investigates the response mechanisms of key sensing materials for harmful gas detection, develops particulate matter sensing technologies based on green fuel cells, and elucidates the purification mechanisms of environmental mineral materials for mining wastewater treatment. These studies support comprehensive monitoring and pollution control of gas–solid–liquid hazards, including harmful gases, particulate matter, and wastewater contaminants, thereby providing advanced materials and technical support for the safe, efficient, and green development of mineral resources.
Professor Shen has published more than 300 papers in leading academic journals, including over 260 SCI-indexed papers, with more than 120 as first or corresponding author. His publications include nine ESI Highly Cited Papers, with a cumulative SCI impact factor exceeding 1,400. His work has received more than 8,000 citations, and his Web of Science H-index is 53. He has received several academic awards, including the Second Prize of the Natural Science Award of the Science Research Famous Achievement Award in Higher Institution, ranked first, and the Second Prize of the Liaoning Natural Science Award, ranked fourth.
