Xiaowei Gu, Second-Level Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, leads research on bulk industrial solid waste utilization, open-pit mining optimization, and mine resource and ecological economics. She serves as Deputy Dean of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship School at Northeastern University and President of the Liaoning Provincial Industrial Technology Innovation Research Institute of Solid Waste. Honored as a national-level talent and recipient of the Huo Yingdong First Prize in Education, she has led over 20 major projects, including the National Key R&D Program and NSFC key projects. She has published more than 200 papers, authored 11 textbooks and monographs, filed or been granted 77 patents, obtained 71 software copyrights, led the drafting of 14 standards, and won 15 first-prize science and technology awards as the lead recipient.
