Shu Yang, Ph.D., is a Lecturer at Northeastern University. He serves as a Member of the Intelligent Surveying and Mapping Working Committee of the Chinese Society of Geodesy, Photogrammetry and Cartography (CSGPC).His research interests focus on remote sensing image processing and pattern classification, intelligent interpretation of remote sensing imagery, and remote sensing-based disaster monitoring and applications.He has published more than 10 peer-reviewed papers, including 5 as first author. He holds one granted national invention patent and eight software copyrights.He has served as Principal Investigator (PI) on one project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and three projects supported by the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities. He has also participated as a co-investigator in three projects under the National High-Tech R&D Program , one project under the National Science and Technology Support Program, and three NSFC General Program projects.
