
Zhang Shengjun holds a PhD degree, serves as an associate professor and doctoral supervisor. He concurrently serves as a Member of the IAS (International Altimetry Service) Pilot Service Group of the IAG(International Association of Geodesy) and a Committee Member of the Ecological Environment Remote Sensing Branch of the China Association for Remote Sensing Applications. He was a visiting scholar at the DTU (Technical University of Denmark) from 2019 to 2020. His main research interests include satellite geodesy, remote sensing monitoring of marine dynamic environments, and remote sensing monitoring of inland water bodies. He has presided over more than 10 research projects funded at the national and provincial/ministerial levels as well as entrusted by various enterprises and institutions. He has won 4 provincial/ministerial-level scientific research awards including the National Award for Progress in Surveying and Mapping Science and Technology, and 5 teaching awards such as the National Teaching Competition for Young Teachers in Surveying and Mapping and the Young Teachers Teaching Competition of Northeastern University. He has published over 40 papers in domestic and international academic journals. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses including Fundamentals of Geodesy, Ocean Remote Sensing, and Space Geodesy.
