Associate Professor, National Registered Surveyor.His research focuses on theories and methodologies of GIS, including geographic data collection and database construction, new fundamental surveying and mapping, digital city, pipeline network geographic information system, and geo-analysis. He has led the research, development and construction of water pipeline GIS, gas GIS and integrated pipeline GIS systems in more than 20 cities such as Guangzhou, Beijing, Nanjing, Chengdu, Tianjin, Changchun, Shenyang and etc. He has published over 20 academic papers, including 3 papers in SCI Zone 1 and 6 papers indexed by EI. He has co-edited the textbook Principles and Methods of Digital Mapping. He holds 6 computer software copyrights, and has been awarded 3 Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress Awards, 2 Municipal Science and Technology Progress Awards, and 1 Silver Award for Outstanding Geographic Information Project from the China Association for Geographic Information Industry. In 2003, he was honored as a Senior Software Talent of Shenyang City by the Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Personnel.
