
Prof. Guo Jiateng holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and is a Doctoral Supervisor. He serves as an editorial board member of Geography and Geo-Information Science, and is a committee member of the Virtual Geographic Environment Committee under the Chinese National Committee of the International Society for Digital Earth, a member of the Smart City Working Committee of the Chinese Society for Geodesy, Photogrammetry and Cartography, a member of the Mathematical Geology and Geoscience Information Committee of the Geological Society of China,and a member of the Big Data and Mathematical Geoscience Committee of the Chinese Society for Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry.
His research focuses on the theories and methods of three-dimensional geoscience modeling and visualization, and their applications in digital mine, digital city, and digital geological survey. He has led and completed three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and over 30 technology development projects sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, provincial and municipal programs, as well as state-owned enterprises and public institutions. He has published more than 100 academic papers, contributed to four books such as the Dictionary of Geosciences, been granted more than ten invention patents, and received eight provincial and ministerial-level science and technology awards.
