Wang Yan, male, Doctor of Engineering, Grade-II Lecturer and Master's Supervisor at Northeastern University. He received his doctoral degree from the College of Civil Engineering, Hunan University, under the supervision of Professor Shao Xudong. His research mainly focuses on the structural design, disaster prevention and seismic performance of ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) bridges. He has published more than 20 high-level papers in top authoritative journals including Engineering Structures and ASCE journals, and has been granted 10 national invention patents. He has presided over and participated in a number of research projects such as the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Natural Science Foundation of Liaoning Province.
