Dr. Ye Yao is an Associate Professor and Master's Supervisor at the School of Resources and Civil Engineering, Northeastern University. Her research focuses on: (1) high-performance materials and structural performance; (2) design and behavior of novel composite structures; and (3) large-deformation support analysis of broken surrounding rock in tunnels and roadways. She has led and participated in multiple research projects, including projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Liaoning Province, and the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities. She has published 16 peer-reviewed journal papers, of which 14 are in Q1 journals indexed by SCI.
