Liang Junhong was born in October 1972 in Yangquan, Shanxi, and is a lecturer. He received a B.E.S. in the Mining Prospecting and Exploration major from Northeastern University in 1996. From 1996 to 2002, he pursued postgraduate studies at the School of Resources and Civil Engineering at Northeastern University, receiving a master's degree and a doctoral degree respectively. Liang developed an early interest in Mesozoic terrestrial stratigraphic sedimentology and their lithofacies paleogeography. He led the completion of the Central University Basic Research Project "Source Studies of Clastic Rocks in the Yixian Formation of Early Cretaceous in Western Liaoning" and participated in a National Natural Science Foundation general project, publishing over 10 Chinese scientific papers. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses, including "Geomorphology and Quaternary Geology (bilingual)" and "Mineral Resource Economic Evaluation," as well as geological field teaching in the Liujiang Basin and Xingcheng area, and a graduate course on "Metallogenic Regularities and Prediction.
