1. Personal Profile

Zhang Yongli, born in May 1980 in Baoding City, Hebei Province, is an associate professor and doctoral supervisor. Since March 2009, he has been teaching at the School of Resources and Civil Engineering, Northeastern University, where he currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Department of Geology. He has been awarded the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of Northeastern University and the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of Liaoning Province. He is currently a council member of the Palaeontological Society of China, a member of the National Expert Database for Palaeontological Fossils, a member of the Academic Bridge Review Expert Database, a council member of the Biosedimentology Branch of the Palaeontological Society of China, a committee member of the Metallurgical Geology Branch of the Chinese Society for Metals, and a member of the Liaoning Geological Society. He also serves as an editorial board member for Global Geology and Geology in China Coal.

2. Main Research Directions

His research focuses on stratigraphic palaeontology, palaeoecology, sedimentology, and sedimentary mineral resources.
