Xu Xiaohu, born in August 1977, is a Lecturer in the Department of Safety Engineering at Northeastern University and a Senior Engineer. He holds the qualifications of National Training Instructor for Safety Evaluators, First-Class Safety Evaluator, and Registered Safety Engineer.
In terms of teaching, he delivers undergraduate courses including Construction Safety, Safety Law, and Safety Ergonomics, and supervises curriculum design for safety engineering undergraduates, covering Cognitive Internship and Safety Evaluation Practice.
His primary research interests focus on hazard identification, assessment and control, system reliability, accident emergency technology, and biomass gasification safety technology.
In research projects, he has led or participated in 5 national-level programs, including the National 11th Five-Year Science and Technology Support Program, National 13th Five-Year Key R&D Program, National 14th Five-Year Key R&D Program, and General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Additionally, he has led or participated in 3 projects commissioned by the Ministry of Agriculture of China and 1 municipal-level project of Shenyang. He has also been involved in over 40 horizontal projects with enterprises and local governments.
He has published more than 20 academic papers in teaching and research fields, among which 10 are indexed by SCI, EI, or ISTP.
