Yao Xiwen, Associate Professor and specially-appointed Research Fellow at Northeastern University, doctoral supervisor. His research focuses on system safety theory, biomass energy safety, and industrial hazard identification and control. He has led over 10 research projects including two from NSFC, published more than 100 papers as first/corresponding author, and holds over 30 invention patents. He serves as an expert reviewer for the Liaoning Provincial Emergency Management Department and a communication reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a national undergraduate thesis review expert for the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center (Ministry of Education), and an expert member of the Youth Working Committee of the China Occupational Safety and Health Association.
