Yuan Chunmiao, male, born in 1978, is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, currently serving as Director of the Department of Safety Engineering at Northeastern University and Director of the Liaoning Provincial Key Laboratory of Non-Coal Mine Safety Technology. He is recognized as an Outstanding Young Scientific and Technological Talent in the field of Mining, Petroleum, and Safety Engineering among Chinese universities, and is also a Safety Production Expert of Liaoning Province. Professor Yuan has presided over or participated in more than 10 national-level research projects, including three General Programs and one Young Scientists Fund project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), as well as projects under the National Key R&D Program of China and the National Science and Technology Support Program. In addition, he has undertaken nearly 10 provincial- and ministerial-level research projects funded by the Ministry of Education, provincial education departments, and related agencies. He has received numerous scientific and technological awards, including: Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award; Second Prize of the Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award; First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award from the China Occupational Safety and Health Association; Second Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award from the China Association of Work Safety. Professor Yuan serves as a reviewer for nearly ten leading journals in the field of safety science, including the Journal of Hazardous Materials (Impact Factor: 7.650). He is also an Editorial Board Member of Journal of Loss Prevention in the Process Industries and a Young Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Safety and Environment. He has published two academic monographs, including Theory and Experiments of Metal Dust Fire and Explosion, and has authored more than 50 SCI- and EI-indexed papers in the field of safety science. In addition, he has been granted 11 Chinese invention patents.
