
Yao Jin, born in 1982 in Fengcheng, Liaoning Province. He holds a doctoral degree, serves as Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, and is a Leading Talent of Shenyang City.
He concurrently acts as Member of the Science and Technology Committee of China Magnesite Industry Association, Youth Director of The Chinese Ceramic Society, Editorial Board Member of journals including China Powder Science and Technology and Green and Smart Mining Engineering, as well as Youth Editorial Board Member of Gold Science and Technology, Conservation and Utilization of Mineral Resources, Nonferrous Metals (Mineral Processing Section) and other academic journals.
His main research interests cover flotation theory and technology of complex refractory ores, solid waste resource utilization, and preparation of mineral powder materials. He has published more than 200 academic papers in high-level domestic and international journals, including over 100 SCI-indexed papers, more than 60 papers in JCR Q1 journals, 6 ESI Highly Cited Papers and 1 ESI Hot Paper. His works have been cited over 3000 times with an H-index of 35. He has been selected into the World’s Top 2% Scientists Ranking (2023-2025 Annual List & 2025 Lifetime List) released by Stanford University, and obtained more than 20 authorized national invention patents.
He has presided over more than 10 national and provincial research projects including sub-projects of National Key R&D Program, General Programs and Youth Programs of National Natural Science Foundation of China, together with numerous enterprise cooperation projects.
He has compiled 2 monographs as chief editor and participated in compiling 2 monographs. He has edited 1 undergraduate textbook and 1 postgraduate textbook, and developed 2 first-class courses of Liaoning Province. He was awarded the First Prize of Liaoning Provincial Teaching Achievement and the Second Prize of Liaoning Provincial Postgraduate Teaching Achievement.
He has won 6 provincial-level and industry scientific and technological awards, including the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress of China Nonferrous Metals Industry (1st contributor), the Second Prize of Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Progress (1st contributor) and the Third Prize of Liaoning Provincial Natural Science Award (1st contributor).
