Yuan Shuai, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Northeastern University, has been selected for a number of prestigious national and provincial talent programs and honors, including national-level young talent, the Young Scientist Project of the National Key R&D Program, the Young Talent Promotion Project of the China Association for Science and Technology, the World’s Top 2% Scientists list, the National Excellent Innovative and Entrepreneurial Postdoctoral Fellow, and the Young Top-Notch Talent Program of the Liaoning Revitalization Talents Program. His research focuses on the efficient utilization of strategic minerals, the circular recovery and recycling of new-energy minerals, and the green development of deep-sea mineral resources, along with related fundamental theoretical studies. He has led more than 30 national, provincial, and industry-funded projects, including the Young Scientist Project of the National Key R&D Program and grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published more than 80 papers as first or corresponding author, including more than 60 SCI-indexed articles, and holds over 70 granted international and Chinese invention patents. Among his awards are the First Prize of the Ministry of Education Award for Technological Invention, First Prize of the Liaoning Provincial Award for Technological Invention, Second Prize of the Liaoning Provincial Award for Natural Sciences, First Prize of the Liaoning Provincial Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award, and the Liaoning Outstanding Graduate Supervision Team.
