
I. Profile
Lixia Li is a Professor, Ph.D. Supervisor, and Postdoctoral Co-supervisor at Northeastern University. She received her B.Eng., M.Eng., and Ph.D. degrees in Mineral Processing Engineering from Northeastern University in 2003, 2006, and 2008, respectively. She was a CSC-sponsored Visiting Scholar at University of British Columbia Canada from 2016 to 2018.

Prof. Li has served as Principal Investigator for 4 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), 3 sub-projects under the National Key R&D Program of China, 12 provincial- and ministerial-level research projects, and 41 industry-sponsored research projects.
Her scholarly and technological achievements include 21 authorized Chinese invention patents, 1 U.S. patent, and 4 registered software copyrights. Four research achievements have been recognized as reaching the internationally leading level, while eight achievements have received First- or Second-Class Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress Awards.
Prof. Li has authored 6 academic monographs and published 81 SCl-indexed journal papers, along with 49 papers in leading Chinese core journals.
She maintains long-term collaborative partnerships with leading mining universities and research institutes in Canada, the United States, Brazil, Turky, and Mongolia. She has delivered 4 plenary and invited presentations and 8 technical presentations at international conferences, and has served as Session Chair at 8 international academic meetings.
