RESEARCH INTERESTS
Discontinuous Rock
The Geotechnical Simulation Modeling Analysis – 3D (GeoSMA-3D) Code is developed to model and simulate the discontinuous rock failure process, which provides a tool to build the special model and clarify the rock failure mechanism.
Mechanized EDZ:
Experimental and Numerical tests of isotropic and anisotropic rocks, modeling of rock fragmentation, EDZ
Characterization of parameters and damage of rockmass::
The physico-mechanical parameters of rockmass are characterized based on statistical distribution- and digital image-based methods, while the rock damage are characterized based on the acoustic emission data
Tunnel design and stability analysis:
Experimental Text and numerical simulation for tunnels and caverns, underground opening
Ground subsidence and its prevention at abandoned mines:
Assessment and estimation of ground subsidence, preventive measures of subsidence
