Biography of Prof. Yin Wanzhong

Yin Wanzhong, male, is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Northeastern University. He has been recognized as a New Century Excellent Talent by the Ministry of Education, selected for the "Hundred" level of the Liaoning Province Baiqianwan Talents Project, and appointed as a Minjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor.His teaching and research primarily focus on the theory and technology of mineral flotation, the efficient separation of complex polymetallic ores, and mineral materials. Professor Yin has been included in the Stanford University and Elsevier "World's Top 2% Scientists" lists for both "Career-long Impact" (2022–2025) and "Annual Scientific Impact" (2021–2025), as well as the "2024 & 2025 CNKI Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" (Top 1%) list.He has served as the editor-in-chief for 18 monographs, translated 1 book, and co-edited 12 monographs. Professor Yin has published over 700 academic papers both domestically and internationally, including more than 300 SCI-indexed papers and 10 ESI Highly Cited Papers. He holds 3 authorized international invention patents and 30 authorized Chinese invention patents. His research achievements have been honored with one Second Class Prize for National Science and Technology Progress, seven First Class Prizes, and five Second Class Prizes for Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress. He has presided over and undertaken 6 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 National "863" Program project, 1 project under the National Key Technologies R&D Program (12th Five-Year Plan), as well as numerous other provincial, ministerial, and industry-sponsored projects.
