Personal Information

Male, born in November 1972 in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia. He received his Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degrees all from Northeastern University, majoring in Mineral Processing Engineering. He is currently teaching at the School of Resources and Civil Engineering, Northeastern University, holding the title of Third Grade Professor. He is a New Century Excellent Talent and a Xingliao Talent of Liaoning Province.

Main Research Interests

Traditional iron ore beneficiation, pretreatment of refractory ores.

Teaching and Research Achievements

Focusing on the clean and efficient utilization of complex refractory mineral resources, his major representative research achievements are as follows:

(1) He invented new technologies including the step dispersion synergistic flotation and coarse particle wet high intensity magnetic pre concentration, winning the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and the First Prize of Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award.

(2) He developed key technologies and equipment for suspension magnetic roasting and hydrogen based mineral phase transformation. He presided over a National Key R&D Program project and built a million ton scale demonstration project, winning the First Prize of the Ministry of Education Technical Invention Award and the First Prize of Liaoning Provincial Technical Invention Award.

(3) He deepened the integration of industry and education, and established the Liaoning NEU Pilot scale Base for Mining and Metallurgy, a provincial level R&D platform for achievement transformation. More than 70 million yuan worth of scientific and technological achievements have been transferred. His technologies have been applied in multiple enterprises, with six production lines completed or under construction, bringing significant economic benefits to the end user companies.

In the past five years, he has presided over 1 National Key R&D Program project titled Fundamental Research on Mineralogical Characteristics and Enhanced Separation of Typical Refractory Iron Ores, 1 General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and more than 20 enterprise sponsored horizontal research projects, with total research funding reaching 20 million yuan.

Over the same period, he has published 13 high level papers as the first or corresponding author, including 5 SCI papers. The highest single paper SCI impact factor is 5.134, with a cumulative impact factor of 16.493. The highest single paper SCI citation count is 43, and the total non self SCI citations of his papers amount to 93. He has published three academic monographs funded by the National Publication Fund: Key Technologies and Equipment for Efficient Development and Utilization of Iron Ore Resources, Beneficiation Technology of Ludwigite Ore, and Action Mechanism of Flotation Reagents for Non sulfide Ores.

He has obtained 91 authorized invention patents in the past five years, including 5 international patents. Among them, 14 are with him as the first inventor, 16 as the second inventor (including 1 international patent), 19 as the third inventor (including 4 international patents), and 42 as the fourth inventor.

He currently teaches the undergraduate course Research Methods in Mineral Processing and supervises undergraduate graduation projects. He has supervised more than 70 master’s and doctoral students.
